Cambridge is a city best discovered on foot and guests find our location ideal for exploring the sights. Acorn Guest House is located within walking distance of the River Cam, the historic city centre and the famous colleges. If travelling on foot to the centre, the journey is a pleasant walk alongside the river and across the greens. There are a number of pubs alongside the river. You may see crews of rowers on the river and in the summer, you will see punting. For the less energetic, there are frequent buses from the bus stop located close by. The faþade and elegantly proportioned interiors have been carefully preserved while still allowing the hotel to offer all the modern services which discerning travelers now demand. The hotel is well known for the friendly welcoming and relaxed atmosphere of its bar, restaurant and conservatory. The restaurant, which is adjacent to the bar, has achieved a reputation for providing some of the best food in the area in glorious surroundings. All tastes are catered for, thanks to the several different menus on offer, all of which feature a wide range of imaginative dishes, freshly prepared in the hotel's scrupulously clean, award-winning kitchens. Situated alongside the old Nene River and adjacent to an historical church, The Five Bells Hotel is on the A1101 in Upwell, awaiting AA inspection. All rooms are comfortable with ensuite shower facilities, television, tea/coffee making facilities. Bar meals are available in the Bistro and we are renowned for our good quality beer and real ale. Varieties from Carling, fosters, 1664, green king IPA etc. We also have an atmospheric bar and games room, secure car parking and attractive patio and gardens.
