Superb location on the A1/A66 junction giving immediate access to both the North & South. With 90 en suite bedrooms and 8 dedicated conference rooms holding from 2 to 300 delegates. Free parking for both cars and coaches. The hotel also boasts a fabulous Leisure & Health club with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, spa, solarium, large gymnasium, dance studio, health & beauty salon and hairdressers. Our Terrace and Saddle Restaurants and Foyer Bay & Library Lounge serve excellent meals and snacks everyday. The House is situated in 15 acres of woodland and located close to the historic cities of York and Durham making Blackwell Grange an ideal location to explore the North East region of England. The oldest part of Ramside Hall dates back to 1820. Sympathetic and stylish extensions have subsequently transformed Ramside into a magnificent hotel venue. Ramside Hall offers an excellent selection of 80 ensuite bedrooms, each one individually decorated and furnished. They all offer tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, satellite TV with in-room movies, radio, direct dial telephones, iron and trouser press and fresh fruit. The Premier rooms and feature bedrooms have a whirlpool bath and large bathrooms. The hotel also offers both smoking and non-smoking bedrooms. Ramside Hall offers three different dining experiences. The Restaurant, which overlooks the gardens and fountain, serves a traditional menu whilst a more cosmopolitan choice is available in the Grill Room. Ramside Halls championship 27 hole golf course comprises 3 loops of 9 holes with large areas of mature woodland, 14 lakes and bunkers. The building was developed from a series of Jacobean town houses (once owned by the Bowes-Lyon family, ancestors of the Queen Mother). John and Dorcas Milner have been the owners of The Gables Hotel for the past 18 years and have lived in the village of Haswell Plough for the past 32 years. The Gables is a small family run hotel, which has a very good reputation for its fine English foods. It has been recommended by the AA and Les Routiers. The restaurant is small but quaint and cosy.
