Accommodation at the Dog and Partridge is purpose built and situated in the grounds. Guests will find it easy to relax in the traditional bar with its olde worlde character and charm and its welcoming log fire in winter. Food is served all day with a wide ranging menu offering many local specialties. A la carte meals are served in our restaurant, providing still greater choice with imaginative cuisine supplemented by an extensive wine list. For our younger guests we offer their own menu. To ensure children enjoy their stay with us, there are indoor and outdoor play areas, games room, extensive lawns and gardens with our rabbit and hens corner, baby listening facilities in all rooms, high chairs & cots. Pets are very welcome. The Dog and Partridge Country Inn is ideal situated for exploring the Peak District as well as Alton Towers only 6 miles away.

Individually styled and comfortable ensuite bedrooms and suites, with a choice of executive and non-smoking rooms, all with direct dial telephone, satellite tv, radio, hairdryer, trouser press and hospitality tray. The Leisure Club is conveniently situated on the Derby Road on the outskirts of Ashbourne and offers health, fun and leisure in an environment that can be relaxing or exhilarating. Sightseeing and country pursuits, are very much on tap here. Numerous outdoor activities, range from caving, abseiling, rock climbing, mountain-biking, canoeing to trout fishing. The thrills and spills of Alton Towers are nearby. Gastronomes can visit the homes of Blue Stilton cheese or Bakewell pudding.

Surrounded by hills, hills and even more hills at the heart of England's beautiful Peak District, in the elegant Spa town of Buxton, just across a leafy Georgian square from one of the most exquisite Opera Houses in this country. This is one of those hotels you often think about yet rarely find. And when you do, you only tell your best friends. If you are dining from the Table d'Hote menu in our excellent restaurant or enjoying the Chef's Special in our popular wine bar you will soon appreciate the extra thought and creativity of choice in our menus and wine lists. The Cavendish and Talbot rooms are available for private dinner parties and functions. Biggin Hall stands in its own spacious grounds of eight acres and is a protected building of historic interest, Grade II * listed. The present owners have completely renovated it, in keeping with its original character. Many of the stone mullioned leaded windows have only recently seen daylight again after their obliteration during the window taxes of the 1790's. Visitors have a choice of two sitting rooms, one with a library, the other with a large open fire place and there is a separate dining room. We have facilities for most small functions, including a spacious meeting room. Insomniacs and asthma sufferers have commented on the beneficial effects of the Biggin air. The diverse nature of the Derbyshire landscape with its dry-stone walling, deep wooden valleys, heather clad moorlands, timeless market towns and villages, provides the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday.

Buckinghams Hotel A very attractive small hotel. Buckinghams has many individual period features. Originally a pair of Victorian semi-detached houses that have been sympathetically converted into this attractive, comfortable & relaxed hotel in Newbold, a residential area of Chesterfield. Nick and Tina Buckingham are well known for their warm and friendly hotel, which specialises in superlative food. Situated in Derby's Pride Park, business, retail, and leisure area. We are a 5 minute walk from Derby train station. The hotel offers excellent budget facilities in a modern and friendly environment. A great base for short and weekend breaks to local tourist and leisure attractions. Also excellent rates and location for the midweek business person. Walking distance to the David Lloyd sports and leisure Centre and the JJB Soccer Dome. Ideal stop-over when visting family and friends at the University of Derby.

With it's ingenious design and uncompromising standards, the Menzies Mickleover Court is a hotel of international distinction. Every bedroom has been designed and furnished with the discerning traveller in mind. Many of the guest rooms have balconies and there are a range of suites some with seperate dining rooms/lounge. There is a luxurious indoor leisure complex which includes an indoor pool, steam room, sauna, solarium and large gym with state of the art cardio vascular equipment. Guests may also book beauty treatments and there is a hair salon open 7 days a week. Spoilt for choice, residents can choose between two restaurants the Italian Trattoria, (open for Dinner only - Wednesday to Saturday)or the award winning Brasserie (open for both lunch and dinner seven days a week), with it's superb choice of mezze from the deli bar. The hotel is a former Georgian Farmhouse, once the home farmhouse to a group of neighbouring farms; the Longlands Hotel is steeped in history. Evidence shows the existence of a property on the site as long ago as 1659. Our superb grounds offer the ideal location for weddings, or conferences, in our marquee, which can accommodate up to 120 guests or delegates. Recent conversions of the adjacent outbuildings have enabled us to increase the number of rooms available, with a total of 15 guest rooms, comprising 2 family suites, Honeymoon suite complete with four poster bed, 5 double, 6 twin bedded and 1 single. All the bedrooms have en-suite or private bathrooms, one with facilities for the disabled. Tea and coffee making facilities colour televisions and direct dial telephones are standard in all rooms. Trouser press, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards are available to all guests. Room tariff includes full English or Continental breakfast served in the Georgian Room restaurant. The historic Midland has played host to many Royal visitors over the years since it opened in 1841 including Queen Victoria who stayed twice during the 1840's. The dinner menu served to her Majesty's party in 1849 is still displayed in the cocktail lounge today. The Duke of Edinburgh also dined at the hotel with the High Sheriff of Derbyshire and other local business men in 1964, and Princess Alice attended a luncheon for St Johns Ambulance in the 1980's. More recently we have been pleased to welcome two Prime Ministers and several Cabinet Ministers, as well as many Captains of Industry and famous faces from the worlds of sports and entertainment, including Cliff Richard, Dame Vera Lynn and Sir Norman Wisdom to name but a few. The George, as it was originally known, is believed to have been first built in the fourteenth or fifteenth century. At that time it would have been an ale house serving the packhorse trains trudging between the quarries of Castleton and the foundries of Sheffield. A succession of individual proprietors operated the George until 1876, when local Sheffield brewery Tennants acquired it (for 700), and it was held by them and their parent company Whitbreads until it was purchased by the present owners in owners in 1996. Early in 1997 the entire hotel was completely renovated, whilst its original character was preserved by tasteful retaining of stone walls, oak beams, open fires and antique furniture. History as an Inn for over 500 years, bought in 1996 by an hotelier of over 3 decades experience. Dogs are welcome at the George by arrangement with the owners for an additional cost of 5.

All rooms have ensuite bathrooms and can accommodate extra beds or cots. We have a fourposter room, ideal for that special birthday or anniversary treat, and one room has its own balcony with patio furniture and wonderful views. Breakfast is mainly self service, and there is a lounge with television and children's books and toys. There is no nightly curfew as your room key will operate the front door also. All the rooms have a television, tea and coffee facilities, shampoo, soap and bubble bath and fluffy towels. The rooms are all on the 1st floor.

It's furnished with antiques and set in beautiful gardens The 17th century is alive in this hotel making it an ideal retreat for a weekend away; the restaurant and bar are steeped in culture and intrigue and the bedrooms are full of character and charm. East Lodge, set in 10 acres of attractive gardens, is the nearest hotel to Chatsworth House, recently voted Britains finest stately home, and was originally linked to Haddon Hall the traditional Derbyshire seat of the Duke of Rutland .
