You can enjoy the traditional welcome of an old coaching inn combined with modern comfort at the 16th century White Hart Hotel. The Esplanade Hotel is ideally situated on the seafront. South facing it overlooks the sea. Attractive views may be enjoyed from the garden, public rooms and many of the bedrooms. Option to go and visit Constable country and historic Colchester. The location is quiet yet very convenient being a short easy walk to the pier, attractions and town centre. Clacton-on-Sea is located on the Essex sunshine coast. The gardens are superb and the pier offers free entry with many attractions.

On the edge of Epping Forest, the main building of the hotel reflects its origins as a 16th century coaching inn whilst the bedrooms are in a separate block. Although the bedrooms vary in size and style they are all pleasantly decorated and well-equipped. The large garden, where marqees can be erected, is perfect for photographs and al fresco dining. The Continental is a 14 Bedroom hotel overlooking the sea at Dovercourt, only minutes from Harwich International Port. All rooms are en-suite and most have sea views busy with shipping activity. The hotel boasts a marvellous choice of activities with a nine hole golf course, two all-weather tennis courts and an outdoor heated swimming pool (May to September). There are also plenty of other outdoor activities such as clay pigeon shooting, croquet and archery which can be arranged on the estate. Briggens House Hotel is an ideal location for business travellers, with access to the golf course and other activities as well as multiple meeting rooms and the Bridgeman Restaurant; it is a perfect location for both business and relaxation. As befits a house as stately as Briggens, it counts among its neighbours many stately homes including the seventeenth century Hatfield House, and the grand Knebworth House. The nearby town of Hertford has some interesting castle remains as well as a wealth of antique shops to browse in.
