Purpose built as a hotel in 1828, and numbering the eponymous Queen among its famous guests the Royal Victoria is an imposing presence on the sea front at St. Leonards. A fine marble staircase leads up from the lobby to the main public areas on the first floor, where you will also find our Piano Bar and Sea Terrace Restaurant. Whatever the occasion, we at the Royal Victoria can cater to your every need. Our Sea Terrace Restaurant offers you a selection of both traditional and international cuisine which can be sampled each evening at dinner or on Sunday Carvery, along with a choice of fine wines. Situated in a prime position on the sea front in St. Leonards-on-Sea, the hotel offers you traditional hospitality along with a friendly atmosphere which makes it a must for both holiday makers and business visitors alike. Our Piano Lounge and Bar offers both an extensive bar food menu as well as an ideal setting for you to enjoy a relaxing drink, afternoon tea or after dinner liqueur. Bedrooms are unusually spacious which include a number of duplex and family suites. Many of the rooms have separate lounge areas and views overlooking the English Channel and Beachy Head. For those special occasions there are several suites or luxury rooms and a celebration package to offer you that little something extra. All rooms have en-suite, colour television, tea, and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone, as well as the other comforts you would expect from a modern hotel. For conferences and functions we have a range of meeting rooms to suit all requirements from one to one meetings to large seminars. The Burton Suite, a multi-functional room, makes an ideal venue for larger conferences, weddings and banquets, having the added advantage of its own dance floor and bar facilities. The Sea Terrace Restaurant is also available for larger weddings. Conference and Functions. The royal Victoria Hotel has six fully equipped Meeting rooms accommodating up to 100 Delegates theatre-style Available between 8am and 6pm. All delegate rates include the following: fruit cordials, minerals / iced water, boiled sweets or mints, conference blotters and stationery. Hire of this room includes floral decorations to suite your colour scheme. Arrangements for the registrar to visit the hotel need to be made by yourselves. However, we will be happy to offer advice on how to go about this. Overnight Accommodation A special discounted rate can be offered to your guests who wish to stay overnight. We will supply an accommodation booking form for you to distribute with your invitations. The hotel is a short walk from the bus and train stations and has ample car parking just yards away. It has an ideal location, just minutes away from Hastings Castle perched high above the town and nearby are the White Rock Theatre, Smugglers Adventure at St. Clement's Caves, Battle Abbey and Leeds Castle. From the moment you arrive, the emphasis is on relaxation, and what better way to start than enjoying a leisurely drink in the sunny lounge area.
