This elegant, welcoming & privately owned country house hotel was formerly the rectory to the Saxon church next door. It is situated in three acres of idyllic landscaped Victorian gardens and is an ideal base for touring The Cotswolds and Bath. The hotel has 12 luxuriously furnished ensuite bedrooms with complimentary tea tray, trouser press, iron & ironing board and garden views. The larger rooms offer four-poster, half-tester, king size beds, mini bars and spa baths. The oak panelled dining room & Conservatory restaurant is renowned for superb cuisine and unpretentious service and has recently been awarded three AA rosettes for the cuisine.

Knoll House Hotel & Restaurant

Knoll House is ideally situated on the outskirts of Malmesbury, England's oldest borough, and on the southern edge of the Cotswolds. Malmesbury has an imposing Norman abbey. King Athelstan, the first king of all England made Malmesbury his capital in AD925. Abraham Lincoln's mother lived in the area, as did George Washington's family. Today Prince Charles and Princess Anne live nearby at Highgrove and Gatcombe Park respectively. Now privately owned the hotel has been extensively refurbished to provide a high standard of accommodation, whilst preserving the period features of many of the rooms. The bedrooms have remote control colour television, direct dial telephones, tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms. The recent addition of a heated swimming pool has also proved popular with guests.

Old Bell Classic Hotel

The highly rated Old Bell, reputed to be England's oldest purpose built hotel, is adjacent to the famous Abbey in the historic town of Malmesbury, on the edge of the Cotswolds, 5 miles from Junction 17 of the M4 motorway. The Old Bell is steeped in character with log fires, paintings, stone-walls and period furniture. In addition, guests have use of a steaming outdoor hot tub, perfect for relaxing in after a day's sightseeing (please book use in advance of arrival). The bedrooms are individually furnished and well equipped, and are either traditional or take their inspiration from the simplicity and style of Japan. The restaurant serves award winning French Continental cuisine and has received the accolade of 2 rosettes from the AA. Families are particularly well catered for and there are extensive facilities for children such as a supervised nursery and play area.
