The original water driven wheel machinery, still in working order, is an interesting and popular feature in the entrance hall. The Mill House Hotel enjoys a rural setting on the A98 yet only just over 2 miles to the fishing port of Buckie, the village of Fochabers and the River Spey Estuary. With the area being renowned for its mild climate there is the opportunity for the enjoyment of many outdoor activities.

The Hotel is situated half a mile from the beautiful town of Elgin. The area is famous for its Golf courses, fishing in the Spey, not to say the popular whisky trail.

The West End Guest House is ideally placed for the visitor to Elgin. Located centrally and with a large private car park, visitors are within walking distance of the city centre and a short car journey to the coast. Attractions in the area are plentiful, but some of the main ones are the Scottish Malt Whiskey Trail, Johnson's Cashmere Centre, Baxter's Visitor Centre, numerous castles and historic sights such as the famous Elgin Cathedral.
