This solid log hotel is set in woodland with a panoramic view of the glen of Strathardle. Native wildlife can often be seen from and around the hotel - red squirrel, deer, pheasant, buzzard, rabbits etc. Traditional Scottish food is served at mealtimes. The Lounge Bar is open to the public and has a wide range of malt whiskies, pool table and juke box - Please note that Tuesday night is the local quiz night! The Dining room (seating 50) enjoys the best views from the hotel and has been used for private functions (weddings, birthday parties etc) as well as conferences.

The best little B and B in Perthshire!Glevar is an ideal base from which you can explore the real Scotland. All that you could need or want to do is in easy reach.Perhaps a romantic escape, a country trek, a whisky trail or a high adrenaline rush in various outdoor activities..... Glenvar was originally opened by Jean and Robert Wilson in October 2002. It has two double rooms and one single room, all ensuite, and attractively furnished and finished to a high standard. Languages spoken by Mrs Jean Wilson are English, French, German and Spanish.

It's a four course Table d'Hote menu using the rich variety of fish, meat, game, fruit, vegetables, cheeses and traditional culinary traditions of Perthshire and Scotland. We only use the best local provisions and suppliers. For the last two years we have been awarded Taste of Scotland recognition at 4 Star. We can manage fine if you have particular dietary needs as long as we know in advance. Fortingall Hotel is a haven of peace and elegance. The building itself dates back to the 17th century, with most of the main building works being carried out just over one hundred years ago. Originally built as a Dower House in the 1840's, its Victorian charm still remains today, providing a friendly and informal atmosphere where you can relax and be treated as an individual. Each of our nine spacious en suite guest rooms provides splendid views across Donavourd's elevated six acre grounds, and is meticulously furnished in keeping with the hotel's late 19th century period style. Our restaurant, Lily's, offers inventive and delicious cuisine, each day's menu blending Scottish and international influences. Most vegeterian requests can be accommodated with advance notice. Donavourd's fully licensed bar provides a discerning selection of fine wines, spirits and single malt whiskies.
