Ye Olde Bell Hotel has all the charm and character you would expect from one of England's oldest coaching inns, with its oak panelled rooms, log fires and leaded windows. At the end of the day you can sit back and unwind in front of the open fire in the lounge or relax in The St. Leger Bar where you will find racing memorabilia from nearby Doncaster Racecourse - home of the world famous St. Leger. Dining in The Oak Room Restaurant is a pleasant and relaxing experience where you will find good food and a choice of wines served by attentive and friendly staff. There is so much to see and do in the surrounding area which is steeped in history. The legendary 'Sherwood Forest' is a short drive away, as is The Dukeries, a vast area of protected woodland teeming with wildlife. Nottingham City is only half an hour's drive away and is packed with places of interest to visit including Nottingham Castle, the famous Nottingham Lace Making Museum and 'The Tales of Robin Hood' where history comes alive. Further afield lies Lincoln with it's famous cathedral and castle. For the sportsman the famous St. Leger Racecourse in Doncaster is only 10 miles away and the York racecourse, with the joys of York itself, is approximately 1 hour by car.
