The Mansfield House Hotel which is situated in approximately 10 acres of grounds on the outskirts of Hawick, the largest Border town. The house was originally the private home of a well established local family who tastefully influenced the many distinctive architectural features. Current owners the MacKinnon family have been at the hotel since 1985 and have over the time loving restored the hotel, and added a few more features to make the Mansfield what it is today. A warm and homely welcome awaits you. The gardens are gradually being restored to their former glory and the wooded hillside that surrounds the hotel is an adventurers playground. Each of the hotels 12 bedrooms has their own unique personal characteristics, all rooms are ensuite with colour television,& hospitality tray.

The present hotel was built in 1769, but in other forms a Cross Keys hotel has occupied this site since the earliest days of Scottish coaching inns. Recently modernised throughout to the very highest standard, the Cross Keys today provides a warm and friendly welcome to its guests and excellent service from attentive, courteous staff. The hotel is an ideal centre for business or pleasure - situated in a peaceful corner of Scotland, yet still within easy reach of Edinburgh and Newcastle. The Cross Keys is owned and run by the Becattelli family who provide that personal touch that makes all the difference to their guests. Originally horse-drawn carriages used to drive through the centre of the hotel to stables behind. Now this entrance is the reception area. An imaginative menu of light meals is available all day in the Oak Room. The Cross Keys restaurant, like other rooms on the ground floor, has recently been completely refurbished taking inspiration from the great Scottish Art Nouveau architect Charles MacIntosh. It provides a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with la carte and table d'hte dinner menus offering an excellent choice of traditional Scottish and International cuisine. The finest local produce is used wherever possible, and many dishes are prepared from ingredients for which the Scottish Borders is famous, such as Tweed salmon and lamb. Next to the restaurant is the stylish Nr 36 Bar...and beyond you can relax in the informality of the comfortable lounge.

The Roxburghe was converted by its owners, the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe, into one of Scotland's finest country house hotels, and have established the Roxburghe Golf Course as the 5th top inland golf course in Scotland. Set amongst mature woodland and rolling parkland on the banks of the River Teviot, this 22 bedroom hotel (some of which are four poster) were all individually designed by the Duchess herself. With its warm and friendly atmosphere the Dining Room reflects the hotel's position at the source of some of the finest fish, meat and game - salmon and trout from the waters of the Tweed, or grouse, pheasant and venison from the Estate - complimented with wines from the Duke's own cellar. Fine whiskys are served in the Library Bar, with its log fire and leather bound books and the Drawing Room is the perfect place to relax. Philipburn is of the highest standard with 14 rooms all of which have stunning accommodation and decor, some complete with balconies and their own Jacuzzi baths. We have always had an enviable reputation for cuisine and we are upholding this tradition with the excellent talents of Angus McIntosh, our head chef, and his team. Selkirk is an excellent location allowing our guests to take advantage of local attractions both within the borders and the surrounding areas.

The County Hotel situated in the market square of the beautiful and historic border town of Selkirk, on the A7 road from Edinburgh to Carlisle, was built originally as a coaching inn on the site of the infamous 'Bunch of Grapes' hostelry. The hotel's past is steeped in history due mainly to the meetings of the 'Forest Club' held in 'Scott's Ha'', where members of the invited guests featured such names as Sir Walter Scott, The Duke of Wellington, Prince Leopold of the Belgians and Mungo Park to name but a few.
