Each of 25 bedrooms is tastefully furnished - all featuring en suite bathrooms. In addition, every room has a colour television, a direct-dial telephone, trouser press and facilities for making hot drinks. Hair dryers and other items are available from reception. For a romantic interlude - even a wedding night - we have two four-poster rooms, and if you want a chilled bottle of the finest champagne on arrival, leave it to us. But one of the central pillars of the Imperial Hotel's charm is its flexibility: apart from the four-poster rooms, we have 11 twin rooms, 7 doubles, 3 family rooms and 2 singles. Built some 300 years ago, this former coaching inn has been attentively restored to embrace its heritage and period features; the interior has been lavished with rich fabrics and antique furniture. From its position on Rodborough Common The Bear commands spectacular views over the region's surrounding hills and valleys.
