The Purbeck House & Louisa Lodge nestle in extensive gardens in the centre of Swanage. They combine the atmosphere of a traditional country house with all the amenities of a modern hotel. The 38 bedrooms are divided between the main house, constructed in 1875, and the newly built Louisa Lodge. All the bedrooms are en-suite and some have sea or garden views. The Hotel occupies 3.5 acres of land, the grounds and buildings incorporating many extraordinary artifacts brought from London by George Burt, one of the founders of the Mowlem construction company and the house's creator.
