Owned and run by the Coles family since 1991, the Hotel is renowned for its friendly, relaxing atmosphere and is the ideal base from which to explore the many attractions to be found in Somerset and the West Country. Despite our rural location, the Hotel is conveniently located on the A38 - just two miles from Taunton town centre and 4 miles from Junction 26 of the M5 motorway.

Whilst set in the heart of Somerset, the hotel's convenient location, close to the M5 (1 mile) provides easy access for our commuting visitors.

The Salisbury House Hotel is a family owned independent hotel situated in an unrivalled town centre location. Built in the 1850's the delightful Victorian House boasts many gothic features and stained glass windows. The hotel has recently been totally refurbished, still retaining many original features. All bedroom are en-suite with luxury bathrooms. Families welcome. Centrally placed for Cricket Ground Musgrove Park Hospital, County Court. Bus and Raiway Station walking distance.

The Chapman family have been running the hotel for 50 years and in that time it has acquired a worldwide reputation for the warmth of its hospitality. Located in the heart of the West Country, the Castle is the ideal base for exploring a region rich in history.
