We are located within the Lake District national park, 1 mile from the village of Haverthwaite, in between south Lakeland and the lake district peninsulas. Situated in open countryside, just set off the side of the A590, it is the ideal base to explore the lakes. Popular destinations such as Bowness, Windermere, Coniston, and Hawkshead are only a short drive away, as well as the peaceful tranquility of Wasdale and Kentmere. In the opposite direction is the Victorian seaside town of Grange-over-Sands, and the picturesque village of Cartmel. The Rusland Pool proves a popular destination for both holidaymakers and business travellers alike, and all are offered a warm welcome for both good food and accommodation, in the age old tradition of an English coaching inn. The hotel takes it's name from the nearby river which rises in Grizedale Forest, (between Windermere and Coniston water), and meanders the length of the Rusland valley past the hotel, to join the river Leven at Pool Foot, before entering the Leven estuary and winding it's way to the sands of Morecambe bay.
