Southview is a family run hotel, offering the very best in service and hospitality with a focus on perfection, cleanliness, hygiene and your satisfaction. The accommodation at Southview consists of 10 ensuite bedrooms (4 luxury & 6 classic), an informal residents lounge, a breakfast dining room and our very own (residents only) indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi (heated to 82 degrees in Winter) which leads on to our relaxing 'southfacing' patio for those long summer days! Southview is also 'Fully Licensed' so you can enjoy drinks in the lounge/dining room, patio or the privacy of your room. All of our rooms are individually furnished and decorated and all are en suite and centrally heated with the facilities you would expect from a quality hotel. Our Classic ensuite rooms feature double or twin bedded accomodation with ensuite showers, while our superbly appointed luxury rooms (double bedded) feature ensuite spa baths. For that extra special visit we even have a king sized contemporary 4 poster bedroom which has been described as 'like sleeping on a cloud!' STRICTLY NON SMOKING 'Oakdene Apartment Suites' are situated just 300 yards from the nearest pubs and restaurants and 100 yards to the local mini-market.PRIVATE PARKING,One car per apartment.For those who require more space than offered by just one room each apartment has its own beautiful lounge each with two bedrooms.Oakdene No2 and No1 have Two bathrooms/shower rooms. Windermere village is centrally situated and offers easy access to the delights of many Lakes, large and small. It is an ideal base for those keen on water sports and for both the serious and casual walker - there are an interesting selection of local walks which can be enjoyed from your door step. The Three Apartment Suites are superbly decorated and furnished and have full central heating. Everything has been provided for your comfort and convenience, so you can relax and enjoy a carefree holiday,or use the facilities of PARKLANDS LEISURE CENTRE Free- of -Charge this is a superb Private Club about 1 mile away and we offer this to our guests free of charge it has a large full size Swimming Pool and Gym plus Snooker Rooms and Bar.The proprietors are never far away should you need help or advice. Stay for a week or more, or if you cannot spare the time , just enjoy a three or four night short break.

A perfect base for discovering the Lake District. We are proud to offer the friendliness and comfort of a modern day family-run hotel, set in a Victorian building rich with historical interest. Five minutes from the Applegarth you could be stepping onto Lake District fells or boarding a steamer on Lake Windermere; and yet the hotel is only 20 minutes by car from the M6 motorway and even handier for the main bus and rail services. The shops and facilities of Windermere are only a minute's walk away, but a twenty minute stroll in the other direction could lead you to the tranquillity of the shores of Lake Windermere, or the spectacular viewpoint at Orrest Head. The Lake District Applegarth Hotel & Restaurant has eighteen individually designed bedrooms, many of which enjoy excellent views towards Lake District fells and Lake Windermere. All rooms are Non Smoking.
